[00:02:02] Buns and Ruchon are two best buddies who are looking forward to dating two ladies, Listerine and Nicky.

[00:02:18] Ain't no way there's girl named Listerine.
[00:02:20] But you know what it sound like to me?
[00:02:22] This sounds exactly like what I thought the synopsis for Baps would be,
[00:02:28] but from the dude's perspective.
[00:02:30] So they sound like the dudes that ended up with...
[00:02:34] That sounds like the storyline for Baps,
[00:02:36] but with the guy's point of view.
[00:02:38] Because then the guy come back at the end and he got his life together.
[00:02:40] Yeah.
[00:02:42] And he wins Halle Berry back.
[00:02:44] And then the other dude fell into the pool and got his girl back.
[00:02:46] And they had the fleet of limos and their license and stuff.
[00:02:50] This sounds like Baps men version.

[00:03:36] and he ends up getting involved in a dice game and he wins money.
[00:03:40] And as he's like playing the game, Ruchon pops up
[00:03:44] and is like dragging him along.
[00:03:46] And he's like, bro, come on we got to go like we got to get to this date or whatever.
[00:03:52] So they're walking down the street Buns is kind of talking to Ruchon about,
[00:03:56] you know, dice game and why he needs to play and get this money.
[00:04:00] And they see this woman like seriously.
[00:04:04] I can't even say she's arguing with the man because he's not even saying anything,
[00:04:08] but she's like cussing him out and all in his face and jumping up and down
[00:04:12] and just a hot mess and Buns makes a comment to the man like basically defend yourself.
[00:04:19] You don't got to deal with that.
[00:04:21] And then the woman turns and flips on Buns.
[00:04:23] A lot of cursing.
[00:04:25] Yeah.
[00:04:28] Very startling at the beginning of the movie.
[00:04:31] This woman not playing.
[00:04:33] No, she was pissed.
[00:04:34] And so then she turns to Buns and starts cussing him out.
[00:04:37] And so while she's cussing him out, the man like disappears.
[00:04:41] My man ran.
[00:04:42] Yeah.
[00:04:43] And so she turns back around and like starts chasing him
[00:04:46] and Buns is like, this is why I don't deal with relationships.
[00:04:50] Abstrictly into booty calls.
[00:04:52] Booty call.
[00:04:53] Yeah. Let me let me get a 3 a.m. hookup.
[00:04:56] So that's the name of the movie.
[00:04:57] Yeah. So let's see how this works out.

[00:05:35] And they said seven weeks a lot.

[00:05:41] They're talking like they're taking the subway and all this stuff.
[00:05:44] They have to go to Chinatown and then they get to Chinatown
[00:05:47] and Buns is it's like, oh, why are you telling me your girl was Chinese
[00:05:53] and he's like, she's not Chinese, bro.
[00:05:55] She just lives here.
[00:05:56] So anyway, Rashaun tells Buns he's going to meet this girl named Listy
[00:06:00] and he's like, Listy, what kind of name is that?
[00:06:03] And of course he's like, well, it's short for Listerine
[00:06:06] and Buns, of course, you know, I would anybody would say Listerine.
[00:06:11] That's a mouthwash.
[00:06:12] And Rashaun is like, yeah, but she spells it with a Y and stuff.
[00:06:15] Like that doesn't really make it any better.
[00:06:19] It makes it a whole other word.
[00:06:21] Now some people they add an IE set of a Y and all those stuff.
[00:06:26] Bro, if you meet somebody named Listerine is not going to matter
[00:06:29] if it's an hour wide that is a hot mess period.

[00:06:36] So they're talking and then we see the girls also talking
[00:06:40] and Nikki is trying to convince Listerine to go in this blind date

[00:06:51] Honestly, I think part of the movie is confusing to me.
[00:06:54] It seems as though maybe Listie was like some kind of way
[00:07:01] involved in their relationship and kind of blocking her
[00:07:04] friends from hooking up.
[00:07:06] But then I ain't getting that Bob.
[00:07:08] So that's what I'm saying.
[00:07:09] Like it doesn't come off on the screen that way.
[00:07:11] But this is my thinking as to why they were trying to do
[00:07:15] this blind date.
[00:07:16] So that's your theory.

[00:07:31] So let's hook her up with somebody and then we can do our

[00:07:35] So I didn't get that Bob because when they talking
[00:07:38] seemed like Listerine was trying to get her to
[00:07:40] just smash her.
[00:07:42] Right.
[00:07:43] So that's why I was a little confusing.
[00:07:46] So I think maybe she just didn't want her friend to be
[00:07:48] single and she was out here with a dude.
[00:07:51] Or also, I think she wanted a chaperone.
[00:07:56] She didn't want to give into her.
[00:07:58] So you think she wasn't ready?

[00:08:02] But then what about the seven weeks before like what
[00:08:05] was happening?

[00:08:30] But like you said, they're talking about it and
[00:08:32] she's trying to convince Liste that this dude is

[00:08:45] When they finally meet, she says he looks like

[00:08:52] So anyway, they're talking and she's asking
[00:08:54] questions about buns and she wants to know, you
[00:08:57] know, does he have class because I only date men
[00:09:00] with class and Nikki's like, he's in the class of
[00:09:03] his own, you know, classic.
[00:09:05] Liste look real happy.
[00:09:07] Yeah.
[00:09:08] Liste bougie.
[00:09:10] She comes off that way.
[00:09:12] She bougie.
[00:09:13] So they're both, you know, trying to convince buns.
[00:09:17] Roshan is trying to convince buns and Nikki's
[00:09:19] trying to convince Liste to go on this blind date.
[00:09:23] So everybody ends up agreeing.
[00:09:25] Buns and Roshan show up at this restaurant first
[00:09:27] and they kind of make a bet as to whether or
[00:09:29] not Roshan is going to sleep with Nikki before
[00:09:32] sunrise basically.
[00:09:34] Big mistake.
[00:09:35] Well, Roshan, you know, he was, he was
[00:09:37] reluctant.
[00:09:38] He wasn't trying to do it.
[00:09:39] Yeah.
[00:09:40] But then third time's the charm and third,
[00:09:42] the third push or whatever to do it.
[00:09:45] He finally agreed.
[00:09:46] So they get there at the restaurant and
[00:09:49] they're talking and they're having a discussion
[00:09:52] about well, Nikki and Liste ring show up
[00:09:55] and buns is talking about how he needs to
[00:09:58] see how she looks in a certain kind of light
[00:10:01] and light, the light to them, bro.
[00:10:03] Yeah.
[00:10:04] And then, you know, they go to the whole
[00:10:05] thing, you know, you had a club, you meet
[00:10:07] a girl and it's dark and you think she fine.
[00:10:09] And then you see her in the daylight and
[00:10:11] it's like basically the opposite.
[00:10:13] Like she looks robust.
[00:10:15] Yeah.
[00:10:16] Breath beyond ashtray, face beyond T-rex.
[00:10:19] That's why if you meet people at the
[00:10:21] club, you only meet them at the let out
[00:10:23] because then all the lights are on.
[00:10:25] You mean like let's go?

[00:10:53] a club, try to meet somebody.

[00:10:57] So anyway, they're talking about the
[00:10:59] lighting, Liste ring and Nikki
[00:11:02] approached the table and she sees buns and
[00:11:05] like immediately just turns and leaves.
[00:11:08] So Nikki is trying to catch up with her and
[00:11:11] they start talking about why she wants to leave.
[00:11:14] And then that's when Liste is like, he looks
[00:11:16] like predator blah, blah, blah.
[00:11:18] You got me out here with this dude.
[00:11:20] And she was like, the buns is a nice guy.
[00:11:23] And then Nikki is like, I mean, Liste is
[00:11:25] like buns.
[00:11:26] That's not even a name.
[00:11:28] And Nikki says, well, it's with the Z
[00:11:30] instead of an S.
[00:11:31] Yeah.
[00:11:32] So it's very similar.
[00:11:33] There's a callback.
[00:11:34] Her name is with a Y.
[00:11:36] His name is with a Z.
[00:11:38] And they're both fancy.
[00:11:39] They're both dumb names and his, his,
[00:11:42] neither buns definitely.
[00:11:43] What is buns is short for something?
[00:11:46] I'm like, what?

[00:11:50] Think about it as we go through.
[00:11:52] So she wants to leave and then she
[00:11:55] finally Nikki convinces her like girl,
[00:11:57] you don't have to do anything.

[00:12:01] Like just, just be here for me.
[00:12:03] So Liste agrees.
[00:12:04] She actually needs a wing woman,
[00:12:06] but I don't get why she would need one if
[00:12:08] they've been dating for seven weeks.
[00:12:10] It's very confusing, but whatever we're here.
[00:12:12] We're here for plot reasons.

[00:12:14] So they sit down at the table.
[00:12:17] They're looking at the menu.
[00:12:19] They order buns and Ruchin both order
[00:12:22] shrimp fried rice, Nikki orders prawn
[00:12:25] and garlic sauce or something.
[00:12:27] And then the waiter talks to
[00:12:31] the waiter is like the best part of the movie.
[00:12:33] One of the best parts.
[00:12:34] I mean, as well.
[00:12:35] He was interesting.
[00:12:37] He talks to Liste and he's like,
[00:12:39] okay, Miss thing, like you going to take forever
[00:12:41] to order or are you ready?
[00:12:43] So she's like, well, I want the lobster
[00:12:47] and she, she said in Moe, Moe, right?
[00:12:50] Yeah.
[00:12:51] So buns.
[00:12:52] Oh, you know, everybody else pronounced a T.
[00:12:55] Yeah.
[00:12:56] Moe.
[00:12:57] Moe.
[00:12:58] Yeah.
[00:12:59] So buns is like lobster and Moe.
[00:13:02] He's like, they don't even got a price next to the lobster.
[00:13:04] So that mean I'm about to spend $28.
[00:13:07] So I thought it was funny, right?
[00:13:09] Because I'm like, all right, if you order lobster now,
[00:13:12] most likely it's going to say market price,
[00:13:14] but market price is not $28 these days.
[00:13:17] Right.
[00:13:18] You know what that reminds me of when
[00:13:21] that time we went to a restaurant and the dude.
[00:13:26] Yeah, so we got to all the stories.

[00:13:30] And this is this restaurant we went to.
[00:13:34] It's like a Hibachi restaurant and it's got at the table with us
[00:13:39] ordered steak, shrimp, lobster and something else.

[00:13:48] So his plate looked ridiculous, right?
[00:13:50] But when the bill came, he went to the bathroom.

[00:14:00] but you could hear their conversation and he basically was
[00:14:03] like, he ain't have enough money to pay for it.
[00:14:05] For all that stuff.
[00:14:07] So she had to pay.
[00:14:09] He was asking her if she had any money and I was like,
[00:14:11] dang, that is so embarrassing.
[00:14:12] Like, bro, how you ordering all this stuff
[00:14:14] that don't have prices next to it and now you can't pay
[00:14:16] for it?
[00:14:17] Big mistake.
[00:14:18] You should have been like, what's market price today?
[00:14:20] How much is this going to cost me?

[00:14:22] Buns is trying to avoid with this man had to go through.

[00:14:25] And then I saw this man like two weeks later.

[00:14:29] But at this time he was like, they were in the restaurant
[00:14:31] first and when I was leaving, he was at the ATM

[00:14:38] He needed to plan better.
[00:14:41] It sounds like just bad preparation,
[00:14:44] but my man Buns is no fool.
[00:14:47] He knows that he probably don't got the funds for this.
[00:14:51] What she trying to put down right now.
[00:14:53] So he like, no.
[00:14:55] And so shorty is like, I have a platinum card.
[00:15:00] I can pay for what I want or whatever.

[00:15:03] I think she said she could buy him.

[00:15:05] So then he was like, well, I got a car too.
[00:15:07] And he pulls out a car and what is that?
[00:15:11] It's a gold gas car.
[00:15:14] I can get gas from anywhere in the country.
[00:15:21] And I think if I buy enough, I get like a little treat or something.

[00:15:26] I can get, he said I can be playing him too.
[00:15:28] I get some coffee mugs.

[00:15:32] And I was like, why do you got a gas card?
[00:15:34] You don't even have a car.
[00:15:35] He said, why you gotta put me out on front street like that?

[00:15:38] So then he's like, I just put a down payment on some blah,
[00:15:41] blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
[00:15:42] And she's like, oh, basically sounds like you're insecure.
[00:15:45] So that was a little funny scene.
[00:15:47] So they get the food and they are like bunz is talking about how
[00:15:55] his shrimp fried rice doesn't have any shrimp.
[00:15:57] The waiter is like, oh, there's a shrimp.
[00:15:59] There's a shrimp basically.
[00:16:00] Two shrimps, basically is all you got.
[00:16:02] Yeah.
[00:16:03] And so Nikki looks over to Rashawn.
[00:16:06] So wait, did you get freaked out when he put like his hands in his food?
[00:16:10] Yeah, because it's disgusting.
[00:16:11] And I wouldn't have eaten it.
[00:16:13] My man said, no, it's just a garnish and he put it around his ear.
[00:16:16] Yeah.
[00:16:17] Put his fingers all in his food.
[00:16:19] So Nikki's like, oh baby, how's your shrimp?
[00:16:22] And Buzz like, he don't got no shrimp.
[00:16:25] Because they got the same meal.
[00:16:27] Yeah.
[00:16:28] That made me laugh out loud.
[00:16:30] And Rashawn's like, nah, I got shrimp right here.
[00:16:32] And he picks the shrimp up with chopsticks and feeds it to her.
[00:16:35] And my man is like, whip.
[00:16:37] You're a whip or whatever.
[00:16:39] So then all of a sudden there's like smoke and Listy is like,
[00:16:44] I thought this was a no smoking restaurant.
[00:16:47] Buzz hops up.
[00:16:48] He's like, all right, I'm going to handle it.
[00:16:50] I'm going to take care of it.
[00:16:51] And she's like, no, that's something, something triad leader, blah, blah, blah.
[00:16:55] Right?
[00:16:56] And he's like, I know who he is.
[00:16:57] I watched all his movies.
[00:16:58] So then my man walks over and he like says something to security or whatever.
[00:17:05] And then he goes to the man and starts speaking, I guess Mandarin.
[00:17:09] He like basically asked the guy to, you know, put his cigar out and he's like,
[00:17:13] Oh, no problem.
[00:17:14] And so he puts the cigar out and now Listy is all impressed and they're all
[00:17:18] like, I didn't know you could speak Chinese.
[00:17:20] And he says, well, I couldn't speak to you.
[00:17:23] How would you know?
[00:17:25] Then they're, you know, they're at the table.
[00:17:27] They're talking about, you know, speaking Chinese, whatever the case
[00:17:30] is.
[00:17:31] And so Listy also speaks Chinese or Mandarin and her and buns are like having
[00:17:42] a conversation.
[00:17:43] And then they ended up like talking about each other basically and calling
[00:17:48] each other names.
[00:17:49] And so then they, they start getting louder and louder.
[00:17:52] The wait, the waiter comes over and he's like, Hey, hey, no arguing in
[00:17:56] the restaurant that costs more money.
[00:17:59] It costs money to argue.
[00:18:01] And so then they start arguing with him and then basically like they get
[00:18:05] put out, they, they like pay their bill or whatever they get out the
[00:18:10] restaurant.
[00:18:11] So they go to a pool hall.
[00:18:13] Listy and Nikki against Roshan and buns, the guys lose.
[00:18:19] This scene wasn't needed, right?
[00:18:21] No, it just went back to the house.
[00:18:23] Yeah.
[00:18:24] Yeah.
[00:18:25] So then after this, they go back to Nikki's apartment.
[00:18:28] And it's this is like kind of weird to me.
[00:18:31] So they go back to the apartment and the girls, I guess stop in her little
[00:18:36] kitchen for a second, but the guys continue to the living room.
[00:18:39] And Nikki is like, Oh, what do y'all think you're going?
[00:18:42] And they like, what you mean?
[00:18:44] And she's like, we gonna play cards and then y'all leave him.
[00:18:47] But I'm like, all right.
[00:18:48] So y'all playing cards.
[00:18:49] What did you expect them to do?
[00:18:50] Like follow you in the kitchen.
[00:18:51] They can't just go to your living room.
[00:18:53] I didn't understand that.
[00:18:54] And no, I think it's because she could tell they was trying to set
[00:18:59] the mood for like something to get nasty.

[00:19:04] And she just wanted to keep it platonic and have them go.
[00:19:07] But I'm like, y'all should have just left.
[00:19:10] You're not come back to the apartment.
[00:19:11] Yeah.

[00:19:18] And then you try to play cards for like a long, like super

[00:19:27] So they sit down at the table to start to play and the
[00:19:31] conversation comes up about Nikki waiting, you know, seven
[00:19:34] weeks to hook up with Rashawn.
[00:19:37] And so Rashawn says to Listy, you know, all right, well, if
[00:19:42] it was you, would you be waiting seven weeks?
[00:19:45] You know, the hookup with a guy and Nikki's like, Listy
[00:19:48] wouldn't wait 30 minutes.
[00:19:50] And I'm like, dang, that's your friend?
[00:19:53] And so Bun says, do I smell a whore?
[00:20:00] Yeah.
