[00:00:00] What's up? Welcome back to another episode of Unscene Culture Classics. We are back.

[00:00:17] We're back. For those of you who are new to this podcast experience, my name is Sean.

[00:00:22] My name is Brad. We are a happily married couple and we are here to talk about our movie

[00:00:29] of the week. Yeah. Yeah. So I think this is going to be interesting conversation. Some people

[00:00:36] probably will not agree with us, probably not. But anyway, this week's movie is she's got

[00:00:43] to have it. She's got to have it original 1986. Let's go. This is a story of a woman

[00:00:51] who has three lovers. Yeah. Okay. So I wrote one woman, three lovers. This is going

[00:00:57] to be the same story through the eyes of each character. All right. So what were your thoughts?

[00:01:05] By the way, I need the one of us as in this movie. My thought is this is going to be unbearable.

[00:01:14] Okay. I don't see how that's like a fun premise for a movie, but next on a list, I don't

[00:01:25] know what to say. All right. Well, let's just get into it because yeah. So the movie opens

[00:01:32] with it's like very sad. There's all these sad images of like black people and sad music

[00:01:38] playing. And I'm like, okay, I'll get to point it as a photographer. Like is this supposed

[00:01:43] to be her artwork also? Sorry. This movie is described as a comedy slash romance. Just

[00:01:53] want to set the stage with that because that was my expectation of what I was going to watch.

[00:01:58] So yeah. All right. So opens after we get this montage of footage and pictures or whatever.

[00:02:07] You see this woman like sit up in her bed and she's like, I'm Nola darling. And I'm here

[00:02:12] to speak my truth. So she's like, I guess going to tell her story. And I wrote why is this

[00:02:20] a black and white movie? Herica was fire though. For 80, whatever. Sure. 86. So I was very

[00:02:29] mad that this was a black and white movie after Nola does a little opening monologue with

[00:02:34] switched to a guy named Jamie over street. He says, Nola is the only one for him. Then they

[00:02:40] show like him and Nola hook and that but whatever. Right? Then we switch to this woman name

[00:02:46] Clarinda Bradford. And she goes into the whole thing about she used to be Nola's roommate

[00:02:51] but Nola kept having men in and out all the time. And she didn't like that. And basically

[00:02:55] Nola was like, well, you can leave. So she left. And then we see a montage of all these men

[00:03:04] and like weird pickup lines. And then Nola starts talking about how she met Jamie. And like he

[00:03:12] followed her from the bus stop or whatever. He was on the bus stop and she walked by and he's

[00:03:16] kind of just started following her. Very creepy. But that's probably how you do it in New York.

[00:03:22] In the 80s. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I guess because what else are you going to do?

[00:03:27] But was she walking like the direction of his bus? So he just had to like

[00:03:32] I remember him just like seeing her and be like, I got to follow her.

[00:03:36] Yeah, but I'm saying like after he talked to her and the exchanged information or whatever,

[00:03:40] he had to go back to his bus right there. He was going somewhere. He had to either go to a different

[00:03:46] stop or walk all the way back. What if he didn't really know where he was and he just like

[00:03:53] was lost at that point? Yeah, well, stuff man. Yeah, he had to X-Mine for directions.

[00:03:59] So then we switched to Mars Blackman, AKA Spike Lee. And he's like, yeah, I wanted Nola

[00:04:06] because I thought she was freaky. Right? So Jamie say she's like the only one for him. Now Mars is

[00:04:14] like, no, she's a freak. That's why I want her. Then we switched to this other person named Opal

[00:04:19] Gill strap and also all this switching in the beginning was so annoying. I'm like, you're like the

[00:04:24] pacing. No, it was happening too fast. And I'm like, you start one story and then it's like,

[00:04:29] nope, let's go to this person. Nope, let's go to this person. But they all like talking about Nola.

[00:04:35] So Opal is gay. And she's like, yeah, I like Nola. I wanted a chance with her.

[00:04:41] But basically Nola didn't want her. And so Jamie doesn't like Opal because he's like,

[00:04:46] Nola's my girl and you try and hit on her in front of me. Then we switched to this other guy.

[00:04:52] Grinchiles. Yeah, number three. So Jamie overstreet number one Mars Blackman is number two.

[00:04:58] And then Grinchiles is number three. And Grir is brightly favorite. Grir is that dude?

[00:05:04] Grish says I'm the best thing to happen to her.

[00:05:07] I was the sculptor and she was a piece of clay. So they we see like,

[00:05:14] Greer would Grir would be one of the guys who gets killed by the demon with the succubus that we watched.

[00:05:25] Oh, death by temptation. Yeah. Yeah. He wanted guys at the bar.

[00:05:30] Good. Yeah. The gunner among me, the first guy she kills in the shower.

[00:05:35] Yeah. Yeah. So we see like their their happenings of their relationship. And

[00:05:42] and there's a scene where they're at the gym or no, they're not the gym. He's working out

[00:05:46] and he's like trying to get her to work out. And he's like, the minute you get fit, I'm leaving you.

[00:05:53] Like what?

[00:05:54] Yeah. It's like, it came out nowhere too.

[00:05:58] Yeah. So he's a model also. So this is kind of where it's coming from.

[00:06:02] So he's like all into his looks and his physique and all of this stuff.

[00:06:05] And then he gets the GQ magazine cover.

[00:06:08] And he like, they're about to smash or whatever.

[00:06:13] And then he's taking forever to address. He's like taking his socks off one by one

[00:06:18] in his pants. And then he's like, I got a fold everything.

[00:06:21] So that was like one of the only things that actually felt like comedy to me.

[00:06:24] Yeah, agreed. Everything else is like not that.

[00:06:29] So like Greer is like the only part I like it. I feel like that's only like comedy in a movie.

[00:06:33] Yeah. But like when Greer isn't there, it's like just weird.

[00:06:36] So then after this we flip back to Mars.

[00:06:40] And Mars says she was probably having a bunch of sex because she got daddy issues.

[00:06:46] So I'm like, I'm like, all right.

[00:06:50] We don't know if she got daddy issues or not. But like

[00:06:54] I mean, I guess in the 80s she just couldn't be a woman that wanted to sleep

[00:06:58] with whoever she wanted to be wanted to. No, I guess that was the problem.

[00:07:01] Right? That's the whole point of this movie.

[00:07:03] Yes.

[00:07:04] So after he talks about the daddy issues, then we switch to her father, Sunny Darling.

[00:07:08] And he goes on talking about Nollis, his only child.

[00:07:11] Only thing she did that was strange was she crawled backwards until she walked.

[00:07:16] And then he says she always wanted to sibling.

[00:07:18] And now she wants five sons for some reason.

[00:07:21] She's like, she has kids. She wants five sons.

[00:07:23] Maybe because her dad's name is Sunny.

[00:07:27] Sure.

[00:07:29] So then we flip again in its her birthday.

[00:07:34] So Jamie gives her a card and it says there's no place like home.

[00:07:39] And then this is I put best scene.

[00:07:43] And I wrote an all capital now it's in color and a bunch of

[00:07:47] some makes you work because they start dancing, right?

[00:07:49] Yeah. So now he like she raised she raised it out loud.

[00:07:52] There's no place like home and they flip to like being at this park

[00:07:55] watching these two people dance.

[00:07:57] This is the whole performance.

[00:07:58] Oh wait, no place like home.

[00:08:00] Yeah.

[00:08:01] Like the way the boss.

[00:08:02] The boss.

[00:08:03] Yeah.

[00:08:03] So it goes in the color like in the way the boss.

[00:08:05] Yeah.

[00:08:06] And so, so this was like the best part to me because I'm like,

[00:08:10] oh great.

[00:08:10] We get to see color.

[00:08:12] We get to see what's happening.

[00:08:14] The dance is good.

[00:08:15] You know, everything's all lively.

[00:08:16] I didn't realize that.

[00:08:17] And I was like, all right.

[00:08:18] So hopefully the rest of the movie going to be in black and white.

[00:08:21] You all know what happened?

[00:08:22] You mean in color.

[00:08:23] Yeah.

[00:08:23] Sorry in color.

[00:08:24] Yeah.

[00:08:25] After the dance performance it went right back to black and white.

[00:08:28] Yeah.

[00:08:28] I was so pissed.

[00:08:29] I'm like, why?

[00:08:30] Like spiky.

[00:08:31] Why is this a thing?

[00:08:33] So she goes back home with Jamie.

[00:08:36] And there.

[00:08:36] So if it's like if he's drawing parallel, so was it a vase?

[00:08:42] Was it a vase only in color when she's dreaming?

[00:08:45] Right.

[00:08:46] When she comes back to the real world, it's black and white.

[00:08:48] But you think this so you think this scene is supposed to be like

[00:08:50] she's dreaming?

[00:08:51] No, not like she's dreaming.

[00:08:52] But this is like what he wants.

[00:08:55] They're like love story to be but like in the real world,

[00:08:57] like she want to be tied down.

[00:09:00] She want who she want.

[00:09:01] Like he went.

[00:09:02] This is his fairy tale.

[00:09:03] Okay.

[00:09:03] I should be.

[00:09:05] And that's not the real world.

[00:09:06] Okay.

[00:09:07] My guy.

[00:09:08] All right.

[00:09:09] So then it's back to black and white.

[00:09:11] So we see she's in bed with Jamie and her phone starts ringing.

[00:09:15] And she answers.

[00:09:18] And as Mars, right?

[00:09:20] So I'm like, okay, you knew who was why you enter the phone,

[00:09:24] why you're in bed with this other guy but whatever.

[00:09:27] She answers Mars calls and he's like,

[00:09:29] I just wanted to say happy birthday.

[00:09:31] And he's like, what are you doing?

[00:09:33] Can I come over and she's like,

[00:09:34] good night Mars.

[00:09:35] Good night.

[00:09:36] I'm sleeping.

[00:09:36] It's late.

[00:09:37] And he's like, you're sleeping.

[00:09:39] Is Jamie over there?

[00:09:41] Hey Mars man.

[00:09:42] So so she hangs up with him.

[00:09:45] And then her and Jamie get into an argument about Mars

[00:09:48] and why she likes Mars,

[00:09:51] which does she see in him?

[00:09:52] Yeah, what does she see in Mars?

[00:09:54] Because he seems he gives off

[00:09:57] your your your your little brother's friend.

[00:10:01] Vibe.

[00:10:02] It's like just a knowing little net.

[00:10:04] Yeah, so like like she's in the way you're basically describing,

[00:10:09] you know, you'll see in TV shows all the time.

[00:10:11] Like you have an 18 year old sister and then the brother's like 11

[00:10:14] and his friend's obsessed with you.

[00:10:16] That's what it's like or like Roger from Deantamera.

[00:10:20] Yeah, yeah, like go home, dude.

[00:10:22] So then we of course, you know,

[00:10:25] because every time they say something,

[00:10:27] it has to flip to another scene.

[00:10:28] So she talks about what she sees in Mars, whatever.

[00:10:32] And then it flips to her and Mars now.

[00:10:34] So they're talking in Mars is like,

[00:10:36] Oh, I love you.

[00:10:37] I want you to love me.

[00:10:38] And she's like, we're not in love Mars.

[00:10:41] We're in like, I warned you in the beginning.

[00:10:45] She's basically like, I told you,

[00:10:46] I don't want anything to deal with you.

[00:10:48] Like I don't want a relationship.

[00:10:50] So I wrote down how do these guys even know about each other?

[00:10:57] So is she like, did they know who each other were?

[00:11:03] Like that's not a good sentence.

[00:11:08] Who would be so bad you can't tell?

[00:11:10] Had they seen each other before?

[00:11:12] Like they knew of each other but

[00:11:15] not like they weren't friends or anything of course

[00:11:18] or it's just like no,

[00:11:19] the told me she's dating these other guys

[00:11:22] and this is what I think based on like what she said about them.

[00:11:25] Yeah, she probably she's probably being pretty honest

[00:11:28] and they just can't handle her, her truth is what I'm getting.

[00:11:31] Because they kind of like are talking about each other,

[00:11:34] how each other looks because then we see all the guys kind of talking

[00:11:37] and we see they're talking about how each other looks

[00:11:39] and their personality but I'm like have you ever met before?

[00:11:42] Like how do you know all this stuff about the other men?

[00:11:46] Yeah, they got to be in it from her right.

[00:11:48] I mean, it's also New York.

[00:11:49] I don't know if you like

[00:11:52] is that easy to like find out about somebody?

[00:11:56] Yeah, I don't know but it's not like New York's a small police.

[00:11:59] So I'm saying that's what I'm asking like

[00:12:01] is that likely like I feel like they might have to

[00:12:04] find it out all from her.

[00:12:06] Yeah and they're from different burrows like um

[00:12:09] Greer's from like Manhattan right?

[00:12:11] And then Mars is from Brooklyn.

[00:12:15] And I don't know where Jamie's from.

[00:12:17] But then we see like Jamie and Greer are questioning her

[00:12:21] like about her choice to be with everybody

[00:12:24] and then Greer calls her a sex addict.

[00:12:27] Yeah.

[00:12:29] He's like you need help, you have a problem.

[00:12:33] Which is all I mean we'll talk about it later

[00:12:35] but like if he was messing with three different people

[00:12:37] he wouldn't be called a sex addict so whatever.

[00:12:40] But anyway, so Greer's like you need to go see somebody,

[00:12:44] you need help so she gets set up to see this therapist Dr. Jameson

[00:12:48] and um the woman tells her your beautiful sex organ is between your ears not between your legs

[00:12:55] and so no looks like okay so then she decides like she don't want to mess with any of the guys

[00:13:00] right now like not to have a sexual relationship

[00:13:03] but she invites all of them over for Thanksgiving.

[00:13:06] Terrible idea.

[00:13:08] Um also I assume everybody is from New York.

[00:13:13] Why are they not having things given with their people

[00:13:16] like why she haven't things given with all three of these guys

[00:13:18] and who would say yes to this?

[00:13:20] Yeah, like I assume she told them the other people were gonna be there.

[00:13:25] They some brother husbands at this point

[00:13:27] or maybe they like oh I have to come because I need to prove I'm better than the other ones.

[00:13:32] Yeah, cause it would have only one of them showed up

[00:13:34] then she probably be like oh just only want to care about me

[00:13:36] so you got to show up just to make sure like the other guys don't like

[00:13:42] take his spot right?

[00:13:44] Yeah I guess so they're at the dinner table um

[00:13:48] Mars didn't bring anything

[00:13:51] somebody brought wine and somebody brought a dessert.

[00:13:54] I'm sure it's a great brother.

[00:13:55] I think real brother.

[00:13:56] You think real brother dessert?

[00:13:57] I thought so because I thought he said something about

[00:13:59] he made it from scratch or something.

[00:14:01] I don't know but anyway everybody brought something except for Mars.

[00:14:04] Yeah.

[00:14:05] He's though well I didn't know I had to bring something and he like of course you're getting

[00:14:09] it so rude not to like to come to somebody stuff and I bring anything whatever

[00:14:12] I like the part of the movie.

[00:14:13] I'm like yeah everyone jump on Mars he sucks

[00:14:17] So then all the guys um they start they start arguing with Nola

[00:14:21] and each other about who she should be with

[00:14:24] and why this one is better this one's trash

[00:14:26] Mars says um he's like all right

[00:14:30] wait I'm gonna make a deal because then at this point uh

[00:14:32] Greer was pissed and he like left the table

[00:14:35] so Mars tells Jamie all right I'm gonna take her for three days

[00:14:39] and you can have it for four but I'm getting the weekends

[00:14:43] I'm like how are you just gonna try to put out a plan

[00:14:47] as to who she's gonna be with and what days or whatever

[00:14:50] um so then we see that they're now playing scrabble right

[00:14:55] I think they're playing scrabble.

[00:14:56] Yeah why why did they play in scrabble

[00:14:58] I don't know how do they how they play any games with each other

[00:15:02] yeah so they don't like each other

[00:15:04] and then Nola gets mad because of how the how the game is going

[00:15:08] and how everyone's acting and she's like I'm going to bit

[00:15:11] and so she like leaves to go to her bit and they just chillin

[00:15:15] so I'm like okay so then they all end up staying over her house

[00:15:20] everybody sleep and I'm like why

[00:15:23] I'm sleeping there

[00:15:24] yes why did you fall asleep with these three men still in your place

[00:15:27] and then why do they think it's okay to just fall asleep here altogether

[00:15:31] like why do they want to all be here with you

[00:15:33] yeah but it's uh she slept with Jamie though

[00:15:35] yes so she was all cuddled up with Jamie sleeping

[00:15:38] I feel like that means she picked Jamie

[00:15:40] well so then um I wrote that too

[00:15:43] like Jamie's her bottom uh her bottom

[00:15:46] so I said all right Jamie sleeping next to her

[00:15:48] so they're all hugged up sleeping

[00:15:50] Greer leaves he was like on the side

[00:15:53] on a chair or something on the sides

[00:15:55] we see him leave and then Mars finally leaves

[00:15:58] Mars was like a flunky at the bottom of the bit

[00:16:00] yeah you guys little big puffy coat and leave

[00:16:04] yeah you're like a child getting dressed every time he was like

[00:16:07] his clothes on yeah so um then we see three women

[00:16:13] like appear right they bust in all this apartment

[00:16:15] boom and they calling her home wrecker

[00:16:18] that's what um and they was like all the uh

[00:16:23] all the decent black men are taking the rest are in prison or homosexuals

[00:16:27] yeah so they like man because she she's messing with their men

[00:16:31] so it's like Mars is girl Jamie's girl and then

[00:16:35] Greer's girl so they like oh I know how we're going to do this

[00:16:38] and they they like we're going to set her on fire

[00:16:40] so so Noah has all these candles around her

[00:16:43] her bed and her police or whatever they've been a tick out um

[00:16:46] so like then they set her on fire but she wakes up screaming

[00:16:50] like it's just a dream but then Jamie tells her

[00:16:55] that he isn't other women but he's not sleeping with any of them

[00:17:00] right Jamie so so they have a whole like

[00:17:05] thing about that she's not I don't want to say she's not happy but like

[00:17:10] she don't like that she's not the only person that he mess with

[00:17:12] sound a little hypocritical to me though right and then we get to Greer

[00:17:16] and Greer invites her to go with him to the Caribbean because he has

[00:17:20] some kind of photo shoot or something that's going on and she says no

[00:17:25] yeah so he doesn't like that and then she like admits

[00:17:29] that she loves Jamie but it's not their time you know

[00:17:32] and then we see we see Opal arrive Opal

[00:17:39] so after the whole Greer thing she's trying to talk to Jamie she's like I love

[00:17:42] you blah blah and Jamie's like no so then Opal comes in

[00:17:47] and he tells Opal you can have her so remember yeah in the beginning I

[00:17:51] already say he didn't like Opal because she was gay

[00:17:54] and she was hitting on Nolan in front of him so Opal what she do she

[00:17:59] goes she her shot so she go to kiss Nolan and Nolan's like oh you got

[00:18:03] go it's time for you to leave so nope that's not right

[00:18:11] sorry look at my notes so she she took Greer she took Greer

[00:18:15] she loves Jamie whatever and then Opal came in and all that

[00:18:18] happened so then she called Jamie to come over and she kept saying it's

[00:18:21] important it's important so he came over and um she's like I need you

[00:18:28] he said in all the men and Brooklyn oh oh this scene and she's like not

[00:18:33] anymore he said once a freak always a freak

[00:18:37] and then she's like I just I just want to love you

[00:18:40] whatever so she's trying to smash and then they do but it's not what she

[00:18:44] wants so she's all upset yeah and then he leaves he wasn't very nice to her

[00:18:48] yeah and then we see her with Clarinda they're just talking

[00:18:53] whatever Clarinda's like why you want to hit

[00:18:57] what you want hang out with me now and she's like well you always say my number

[00:19:01] and she's like well you always said mine and her like oh yeah I guess it's both our faults

[00:19:07] that's that's it that's all you need to know but that's seen yeah double happens

[00:19:10] it does not need it so then we get to Greer and he's talking about Nolan he

[00:19:17] said you know he realized that Nolan loved them all the guys as a whole like not

[00:19:21] individually so she was like in love with parts of them and all of them would make one man

[00:19:27] in her mind um instead of her like fully wanting one person yeah so she breaks up with Greer

[00:19:36] and he said well you never had enough drive or ambition for me anyway oh like oh that's got

[00:19:42] I like that but these uh these men are like pizza bruh like pizza probably agree

[00:19:49] together make one delicious thing well yeah that's what he's saying by itself though you want

[00:19:54] to eat tomato sauce by itself no you want to eat some crust sometimes sometimes why you

[00:20:01] love their crust actually you don't really eat it by yourself because you you dip it like in some

[00:20:05] garlic sauce yeah some ranch so Jamie's the crust okay

[00:20:10] Greer is and Greer would be so Greer would be the toppings and then Mars is like anything you dip

[00:20:16] or on the side so then she breaks up with Mars and she tells him it's time for him to grow up

[00:20:25] like but he he needs to grow up a long time ago that's how I feel and then she goes to see Jamie

[00:20:31] and she tells him that she broke up with other two guys and like she really wants to be with him

[00:20:37] but he's he says and then she says to him she wants to be celibate and he's like why

[00:20:45] right he like you ain't been celibate this whole time when you were with three of us now you

[00:20:49] want me and you don't want you don't want to go out late you're the same where he reading the paper

[00:20:52] right on the bench yeah he closes that paper so aggressively why why now

[00:21:04] they've been celibate this whole time yeah yeah he's not happy basically basically is like

[00:21:10] I don't know I don't have an analogy but it'd be like if at ATM was given out $100 bills

[00:21:18] to everyone who came and pushed a button and then you pushed it but it was given out $100 to

[00:21:24] everyone who pushed a button yeah but now that it's only in your house and only you can push

[00:21:31] it on the give you a dollar it ain't working yeah no nothing coming out you know everybody got all

[00:21:37] their hundred dollars already is going yeah all the money out that's funny um but he decided

[00:21:44] to give her another chance anyway um but then at the end she's like yeah but me and Jamie didn't work

[00:21:50] I'm not a one woman man and that's my story and then she like goes back under her covers

[00:21:55] and it's back asleep oh man this was a movie yes this was a movie this movie existed so listen y'all

[00:22:06] I had never had any um feelings about watching this movie and afterwards I feel very strongly

[00:22:15] that I'll never watch again but I'm kind of dumbfounded because this this movie spawned a whole tv show

[00:22:22] I know and I have I'm like I'm kind of curious to see if the show is different but at the same time

[00:22:28] I'm like this was just so trash that I don't even care like I don't want to know because if it's more

[00:22:33] the same like oh who's who can sit through this it's probably in color is all right I hope so

[00:22:39] that'd be like only like if it's on color I'm not giving that chance all right so so first of all

[00:22:44] the title she got to have it it is sex right I guess yeah or it is a man she she just got to have

[00:22:53] whatever this it is that she wants yeah I'm fine with that yeah okay I feel like

[00:23:00] I would have liked this more if it was the same story from each character like like I thought

[00:23:08] it was gonna be like from difference perspectives yeah but like all the hopping around and the random

[00:23:14] other characters like we don't get old doesn't matter she didn't hook up with her she didn't do

[00:23:18] anything with her no flora and I didn't matter she didn't live with her anymore her father's opinion

[00:23:24] she didn't end up having a kid so it doesn't matter that she wanted we needed to know she went

[00:23:28] in five sons I think they just brought that in the Rufu would Mars was saying about her having daddy

[00:23:34] issues she's saying like she got a daddy she don't got issues yeah well you can have daddy

[00:23:40] issues and have a daddy I just meant like he like they didn't have a bad relationship

[00:23:45] yeah and then I'm like the way the way this is going did she meet all of them like at the same time

[00:23:54] did she meet Jamie for cuz it seemed like her and Jamie had more of a solid relationship

[00:23:58] yeah did she meet Jamie first or she just liked him more but then she like met these other guys

[00:24:04] because I don't understand like they were very different Greer and Jamie okay I can maybe

[00:24:09] but how do you like Mars if you like both of them like it just doesn't make sense to me yeah well

[00:24:15] she kept she kept saying Mars was funny and made her laugh I can't see Jamie making her laugh

[00:24:20] see me weirdo um I guess Jamie's like vanilla ice cream in a bad way I would say what's

[00:24:27] wrong with vanilla ice cream I like vanilla ice cream but like in a bad way like he just boring okay

[00:24:33] Greer's like I don't know what Greer's like some Mars was just like careless fun yeah like that's all

[00:24:41] okay and then Greer which is like the hot guy right yeah so girls I feel like girls like

[00:24:49] stereotypically they go through their face they go through their phase of like one just a hot guy

[00:24:54] oh no it's just it just doesn't seem believable to me um

[00:24:59] that she's like these guys are so different she's into all of them you never data ugly do who's

[00:25:05] funny have I ever dated ugly dude no I don't know we talked about I think we we talked about um

[00:25:17] that I acknowledge that I am shallow that's what you say yeah so um yeah so would it would

[00:25:26] you think which are which are overall impression I think that this is the worst movie we've

[00:25:33] watched together every other movie should get one score bumped up so I you didn't see my face

[00:25:41] we just said it because literally after we finished watching this I was like okay I gave

[00:25:47] was a tail swim hood you guys yeah I think you really didn't like tails from the hood yeah so

[00:25:52] tails from the hood was my lowest score and I think this is worse than that yeah and I think um

[00:25:56] we didn't like we weren't very generous to the last dragon but we didn't like say it was like

[00:26:02] the worst movie ever but this this movie was the worst this made me feel like I like need to do

[00:26:08] redo last dragon and like give it a different review because this movie is rough yeah it was very

[00:26:16] hard y'all I think we um I think we we like we didn't even finish it all in one sitting because

[00:26:21] we were like I'm I'm getting tired just put me to sleep yeah um and it wasn't that late no this

[00:26:27] movie was just so dry and oh like I don't I don't understand why people like it like I don't like

[00:26:34] I didn't like poetic justice but like I guess you can watch it yeah I found things to like

[00:26:41] entertain myself while I watched it like I don't necessarily want to watch it again but I

[00:26:46] I'd watch that 10 times before I watch this movie again yeah do you uh does you have a part

[00:26:52] that you liked at all everything with Greer Greer Greer was like the saving grace of this movie for me

[00:26:57] I mean there's no saving grace Greer made this movie uh his scenes you enjoyed his scenes yes his

[00:27:05] scenes made the movie tolerable yeah I guess yeah so I already said my favorite scene was the dance

[00:27:13] performance oh and then Jamie was hooking up with the dancer that was the girl that he was he

[00:27:21] was hooking up with but he wasn't uh he wasn't having sex with but I only think I realized that

[00:27:26] yeah I'm pretty sure no one was like oh was it who is it or whatever he said the dancer

[00:27:32] wait like this song tiny dancer no oh probably I mean what they said for Shane fame maybe

[00:27:44] um I mean Jamie was kind of sick that's a Melanie Fiona uh sorry did I butcher your song but um

[00:27:52] yeah that was my favorite part the rest of the movie trash so I can't even say I have at least

[00:27:58] favorite because it was everything except the dance performance yeah and I don't even think I'd

[00:28:03] learn anything from this movie no well I did I did you can't you definitely can't take

[00:28:09] definitely can't date uh more than one person so I think you can I think you can oh well sorry you can't

[00:28:18] like she wanted to like be in relationship with all three of them basically yes yes and I don't

[00:28:23] think that works no I agree I think you're supposed the like I think it's fine as she dated until

[00:28:30] she figured out which one she went to be with but I think it was more than dating like they

[00:28:34] were she was having relationships like they were in she was in a relationship with all these people

[00:28:38] like people try to do it and you see people on the internet talking about it but someone always

[00:28:43] doesn't feel the same way at some point someone always like is like someone a little bit more

[00:28:50] or a little bit less yeah and when that happens it's it messes up every so these are the original

[00:28:54] brother husbands like you said yeah um but I also like so I get the point of the movie right because

[00:29:04] she's a sexually liberated woman she can do what she want and the the issue is that these the

[00:29:11] men had a problem with it I feel like of course if it was the reverse like nobody would care if

[00:29:17] the man was seeing whoever reverse reverse um so I get I find kudos for it being 1980 whatever

[00:29:26] and they're like this woman can do what she want but no I mean like it didn't come off

[00:29:32] in a good way yeah so this this rating is super low for me I don't even know what I can give it but

[00:29:41] it's it's close very close to zero I definitely would not watch it again I want to know who out there

[00:29:50] likes this movie and why yeah I also want to know that if I just like unsophisticated and I just

[00:29:57] don't know quality movies because if so just let me know and I'll try to get better at it

[00:30:04] and then I also guess tell us if um if the series is different so but only only tell us if the

[00:30:11] series if you like the series if you've seen both like you have to have watched the movie

[00:30:16] yeah and the series and give us your opinion between the two and if you did that sorry because

[00:30:22] sorry do you have to watch the movie this was rough um but my rating I can't give it like a number

[00:30:28] so I'm just gonna say no okay I'm gonna go with that too because I'm like I can't think of

[00:30:34] the number that I'm gonna give it but it's just no all right so so I'm ready for this movie is no

[00:30:40] I think that's a new standard if it's um if it's that if is that much of a a bad one for you I'm

[00:30:52] just gonna I'm not gonna do it because I feel like whatever you gave a one two this is worse in

[00:30:57] that yes so if you gave a one the tail from the hood this is worse in tail from the hood yes

[00:31:02] at least there's from the hood is like made you laugh at least once

[00:31:08] um yeah I don't know you like at least one story from tail from the hood I think

[00:31:13] I did yes David Allen Grewbone right yes shut out to the Greers

[00:31:20] David Allen in this one yeah um yeah I don't even know what else to say um that's it man we ain't

[00:31:27] learn nothing and I felt like the movie was long like and nothing happened how long with it I

[00:31:33] think it was was it two hours as some change I don't know but I already told you like we didn't

[00:31:38] finish it the whole way through initially like we we took a break we went to sleep and then finished

[00:31:42] it the next day it's only an hour 24 but it felt it fell so rough it fell way longer than

[00:31:49] like I watched endgame in games like two and something adventures and like this this fell way

[00:31:56] longer than that yeah and I still got questions about how how they know each other question

[00:32:03] and why they agreed to sit why they agreed to be together for Thanksgiving like they they really

[00:32:09] and no no the wasn't even all that like I don't understand appeal I want to say that because

[00:32:16] I got to I won't be that guy like all right if Greer Greer was in in the model industry like

[00:32:23] I'm sure he could have found somebody that was like to hit to his standards better than Nola

[00:32:29] because basically he's like I like you right now but if anything changes we done

[00:32:34] Rick James is singing about her

[00:32:38] what song she's not ugly enough and she's not really pretty

[00:32:42] she's all right she's all right the girls all right with me

[00:32:54] I think I think I would have been able to tolerate a little bit more if it was in color

[00:33:02] and I don't have a problem with black and white movies like yeah you sound a real movie racist

[00:33:06] I know but like they're black and white movies that I watched that I have no problem with

[00:33:10] like because they're supposed like that's what they're supposed to be but I mean they're supposed

[00:33:14] to be black and white you just didn't like it no it's 1986 or seven it should be color

[00:33:19] me when they did have the capability of filming color okay or like the time period like it wasn't

[00:33:25] set in some time period before color was a thing like what get you I get you yeah like I know

[00:33:31] and then you could have kept the whole wisdom of all the reference out nobody cares

[00:33:35] yeah I don't know anyway but yeah that's all I got but I really yeah sorry guys

[00:33:44] yeah this episode is probably one of the shortest episodes we had in a while but this movie was

[00:33:50] garbage hey how long do you talk about something you don't like I don't know

[00:33:54] yeah every longer this episode is that's how long you can do it

[00:33:57] and then I feel like I feel like going through like when I'm going through my nose trying to

[00:34:01] tell what happened like it's so hard because it just it kept flipping around for it was bouncing

[00:34:07] from person to person perspective to perspective like I feel like it should have been here's

[00:34:13] Nola let me tell my story here's Jamie let me tell my story here's Greer here's Mars and then maybe

[00:34:20] at the end it was like you know them all together at Thanksgiving and then how everything blew up

[00:34:25] from there but like I don't know I kind of want to know the backstory how did you get with these

[00:34:30] people and why and why these three and who also who who questioned this that they needed to do a

[00:34:37] documentary talk about it bruh who's like oh yeah I need to go talk to Nola because she been

[00:34:44] messing with all three of us and we don't like what should I say I need to clear my name from from what

[00:34:52] like why they was lying on her uh I don't hurt her stuff but were they

[00:35:01] okay

[00:35:02] greatest leave a review

[00:35:05] peace out
